Position:
Postdoctoral Associate

Research Interests:
Behavioral health economics, pharmaceutical economics, comparative effectiveness, insurance benefit design, determinants of health.

Biosketch:
Dr. Kaplan is a Post-Doctoral Associate in Health Policy and Management, and a researcher in the Pharmaceutical Economics Research Group. He received his Ph.D. in economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2011, where he focused his training on applied microeconomics and econometrics.  Dr. Kaplan’s research focuses on the economics of individual health behaviors, including adherence to prescription drug treatments, risk compensation, smoking, and obesity.
