Biosketch: Dr. Stockman is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy & Management. She holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Behavioral & Community Health Sciences and is core faculty at the Center for Research on Health Care at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her undergraduate training at Texas A&M University. In 1999, she completed a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on the areas of patient preferences and decision-making. Dr. Stockman is the principal investigator on a project entitled Risk and Preferences: Racial Disparities in Cardiac Care, a National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute funded Mentored Quantitative Research Career Development Award.
