Organization studies; human resource management; ethics and leadership in health care; and health policy and politics, especially health care reform.

Biosketch:
Wesley M. Rohrer, Assistant Professor, Health Policy & Management and Associate Director, Health Administration Program, Ph.D., University of Pittsburgh, 1990. Dr. Rohrer has a secondary appointment in the School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, Department of Health Information Management. His teaching and scholarly interests are in the areas of organizational studies, human resource management, ethics and leadership in health care; and health policy and politics. While maintaining an active teaching load, Dr. Rohrer serves as administrator of the MHA and MPH Programs. Dr. Rohrer is currently coordinating a GSPH faculty team to develop and teach a public health and health care systems and policy curriculum for the new UPMC International Administrative Management Fellowship. Dr. Rohrer is active in the University Faculty Assembly, co-chairs the Senate’s Community Relations Committee, and chairs the School’s Educational Policies and Curriculum Committee. He participates in various community service endeavors, including service on the Board of the UCP of Pittsburgh Inc and faith-based community outreach and service  initiatives.

Wes and his wife Janet have three daughters, Stephanie, who practices family law in Anchorage, Alaska with her husband Mark, Caitlin, a former Americorps volunteer who is pursuing her M. Div. degree at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and Gwyneth, a junior at Ashland University (OH) majoring in graphic arts and photography.
