Health Law, Management and Structure of Healthcare Organizations, and Public Health Policy

Biosketch:
Mr. Huber teaches graduate studies, and he also advises the Senior Vice Chancellor for the Health Related Professions, the Executive Vice Chancellor for the University, and the Dean of the Graduate School of Public Health with regard to legal, government relations, and policy matters, including research integrity and conflict of interest. Mr. Huber has been a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh in various departments since 1969.

Prior re-joining the University of Pittsburgh faculty on a full-time basis, Mr. Huber retired from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) where he was a Senior Vice President responsible for corporate relations and regional programming, government relations, liability insurance, contracts and grants, and disaster management. Before he was a Senior Vice President, Mr. Huber was General Counsel for UPMC for over 30 years, including during the formation of UPMC.

Mr. Huber currently serves on the Boards of Directors for UPMC Braddock, UPMC McKeesport, UPMC Passavant, UPMC Health Plan, and Community Care Behavioral Health Organization (CCBHO). He is a member of the HAP Trustee Leadership Committee.

Mr. Huber served on active duty and in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard as a Judge Advocate Staff Officer and retired as a State Brigadier General.
